New homes to be built in the heart of Eura
Since last autumn, work has been underway in the neighborhood of the Eura library at Pentti Eskolan tie 4. Euran Vuokrakodit is building a new apartment building with 38 apartments on five floors. These are going to be two-room and three-room apartments ranging from 35 m2 to 69 m2. You can find the floor plans of the apartments in a separate pdf document.
Construction work of the Pronsikartano is currently underway to be completed by the end of the year. Pallas Rakennus is the main contractor.
“It’s been a long time since new apartment housing has been available in the area. I believe that modern housing is an important part of the municipality’s attractiveness and retention ability. Eura has an exceptionally good job situation and now we can offer a truly competitive combination of work and comfortable housing to people coming from elsewhere,” says Ilkka Mäkinen, Managing Director of Euran Vuokrakodit.
Modern housing solutions
The new homes are equipped with the latest household appliances and fittings. Stylish materials and a Puustelli kitchen with a dishwasher ensure comfortable living. The highlight of the shared spaces is the sauna, which provides access to an outdoor relaxation area. The building also features a laundry and drying room, as well as storage rooms for each apartment.
Residents with cars can choose between parking spaces in the open lot or under the canopy, which includes charging points for electric cars. The courtyard will feature a children’s playground, and solar panels will be installed on the roof.

Eura’s prehistory on display in Pronssikartano
Eura is renowned for its fascinating Viking Age history, prominently showcased in Pronssikartano. The name “Pronssikartano” is inspired by the dress of an Eura woman discovered in the Luistari cemetery, adorned with rich bronze ornaments and jewelry. This dress gained fame when President Tarja Halonen wore a replica of it at her Independence Day reception in 2001. The replica was crafted by Erja-Kaarina Helkiö, a local cultural activist and resident of Euran Vuokrakodit.
The apartment building’s plinth is decorated with traces of Viking-era skis, traditionally left leaning against the manor’s walls. Copies of the Eura woman’s dress and a Viking helmet are on display, among other artifacts, at Eura’s Information Center of Prehistory, the Laughing Dragon (Naurava lohikäärme).
