Office Hours during the holiday season
The housing office will be closed from December 21, 2024, to January 6, 2025. For urgent matters, please contact the maintenance technician for your building. You can find their phone number on your building’s notice board.
While the office is closed, you can apply for an apartment or terminate your rental agreement as usual via the Vuokrakodit website. Applications will be processed starting January 7, 2025.
How to Recycle Christmas Waste?
Do you know where to dispose of cooking fat from your Christmas roast?
- If there’s a small amount of fat, absorb it with kitchen paper and dispose of it in the bio-waste bin.
- For larger amounts, seal the fat tightly in a container, such as a taped-up milk carton, and dispose of it in the mixed waste bin.
- Please note that cooking fat must not be poured down the drain, as it may cause blockages.
What about gift-wrapping paper?
- Gift-wrapping paper belongs in the mixed waste bin. Do not place it in the paper recycling bin, even though it seems the logical option.

Feeding Wild Animals
Feeding wild animals is not allowed on balconies or in the building’s yard areas. This is prohibited because, especially during freezing weather, pests find their way indoors and cause damage, such as chewing through electrical wires. By following house rules together, we can avoid these issues.
