Smoke Detectors Will Be Installed in Every Apartment
The Rescue Act has been amended, and as a result, by the beginning of 2026, responsibility for smoke detectors will shift from the resident to the property owner. It has been noted that there have been issues with the installation of smoke detectors in homes. The goal of this change is to improve safety and ensure that every apartment has a functioning smoke detector.
At Euran Vuokrakodit, we are starting this work now. A smoke detector will be installed in every apartment. We will notify you separately, in writing, about the installation date. From now on, the resident’s responsibility will only be to report issues, such as a dead battery, and to regularly test the device.
Attention to Biowaste Sorting
Recently, items that do not belong in biowaste have unfortunately ended up there. This causes additional costs for the landlord and may ultimately lead to rent increases. Let’s work together to ensure that milk cartons, biodegradable diapers, plastic bags, and medications do not end up in biowaste. Instead, food scraps, houseplant parts, paper towels, and coffee filter bags are suitable for biowaste.
