Cleaning the apartment before leaving

Dear tenant, we will check the apartment you have been occupying when you move out.

The cleaning of the apartment must be carried out when you move out before you hand over the keys to the housing office. The cleaning should be done to a satisfactory degree so that the new tenant can take over the apartment without any cleaning. In the event of failure to clean, the deposit will be forfeited to the landlord and the landlord will be entitled to charge the tenant separately for the cleaning.

When moving out of an apartment, you should pay particular attention to the following:

Kitchen

Washing the inside and outside of the stove and fridge/freezer and cleaning the backs of the stove and fridge/freezer.
Washing the inside and outside of the kitchen cabinets.
Cleaning the over-the-stove extractor fan and filter.
Plugging/capping both pipes of the dishwasher connection and reinstalling the original cupboard and furniture door where the dishwasher used to be.

Sauna, bathroom and WC

Washing the toilet and sink
Cleaning the floor drains
Plugging/capping the washing machine connection

All floor surfaces should be vacuumed and washed and stains removed from doors, cupboards and walls. In addition, the interior surfaces of all windows should be cleaned.

The balcony should also be cleaned and all the storage areas emptied.

You must leave the equipment that belongs in the apartment, e.g:

window-opener
lamp sockets

All windows and balcony/terrace doors must be closed.
